RECONNECT - assists young people of migrant and refugee backgrounds through promoting family and community connection.
(Dept of Social Services)

MULTICULTURAL SENIORS - provides information to multicultural communities, families and seniors on available aged-care options.
This program also provides cultural background information to aged-care related services to enhance services to multicultural seniors and their families.

All of these programs aim to acknowledge the strengths and challenges of people and are developed and delivered in consultation with communities and their people.

MES recognises that employment is important to most people yet acknowledges the challenges and barriers many migrant and refugee young people face in finding a job.

MES has developed an innovative employment program which links work experience with employment opportunities. This approach has been quite successful as it incorporates workplace language training relevant to each workplace.
